• The project has a public address, in English and Italian.
• The visual identity is settled: the four-point wind rose, cardinal red for north, amber for the rest.
• A privacy policy that states what is actually collected — and it is close to nothing.
• This page, so that progress can be checked rather than claimed.

The work that has no release note yet

Cardinal is a fork of the Thunderbird engine with the interface being redrawn on top of it. That work is under way and has not produced a build anyone can install, so it has not earned a version number here. When the first build is signed and downloadable, it gets its own entry with a date — and this paragraph disappears.

We would rather have a short, true changelog than a long, generous one.
